Satan brings natural calamities down from heaven.

However, the fire mentioned in these last days is NOT a good fire.

Revelation 13:13 KJV

v.13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles...

God does not deceive.

This is the fire of Satan.

Revelation 16:13-14 KJV

v.13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

v.14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth [leaders of nations] and of the whole world [people worldwide], to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

"Unclean spirits... spirits of devils working miracles" will do "great wonders" and bring "fire" from heaven.

In the story of Elijah at Mount Carmel, fire came down from heaven to consume a sacrifice to reveal the one true God (1 Kings 18:20-39). However, Satan through his agents will in these last days work miracles in a similar manner to deceive.

We find in 2 Kings Chapter 2 another account in the life experience of Elijah when fire appeared and transported Elijah to heaven in a whirlwind.

2 Kings 2:11 KJV

v.11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Natural disasters and calamities will bring destruction and death on an unimaginable scale. People will grieve and seek communication with the dead. One great wonder that Satan's agents will perform is to bring down fire from heaven. It is similar to the experience of Elijah when a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared unto Elijah and whisked him to heaven. In this deception, it will appear that the spirits of the dead descend from heaven in a whirlwind of fire. This deceptive miracle of Satan will strengthen the wrong understanding of the state of the dead. Satan's agents will deceive people to think their loved ones go directly to heaven when they die. However, this is nothing more than the "spirits of devils working miracles."

"For years Spiritualism has been growing in strength and gaining in popularity by advocating a certain kind of faith in Christ, and thus many Protestants are becoming infatuated with this mystery of iniquity. It is little wonder that they are deluded, when they persistently retain the error that, as soon as the breath leaves the body, the spirit goes immediately to heaven or hell. Through the hold this doctrine has upon them the way is prepared for the delusive working of the prince of the power of the air" (ST May 28, 1894).

Two primary false doctrines of the Catholic Church are Sunday sacredness and the natural immortality of the soul. Most Protestants in America accept both. Most protestant ministers wrongly teach Sunday observance as the day to worship God. Most Protestants believe that when people die their spirit goes directly to heaven or hell because their soul is immortal. Satan will use the later to strengthen the first. Some of Satan's most devoted followers who call for a Sunday Law will bring down fire from heaven in the sight of men to support the idea that dead loved ones go directly to heaven. This miraculous fire that appears to transport the spirits of the dead from heaven will be of Satan to add support to Sunday as a day to worship God. These "great wonders" of horses and chariots of fire are NOT of God. They are the horses and chariots of pagan sun worship to give support to Sun-day observance.

2 Kings 23:11 KJV

v.11 And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the Lord, by the chamber of Nathanmelech the chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

In the Bible account of Elijah, his person (incorruptible body and spirit) was transported to heaven. When a search was made for his earthly body it was reported they "found him not" (2 Kings 2:16-18). As Christians, we must read and study the Bible carefully to avoid the deceptions of Satan and his agents (ministers and men) who perform miracles through his power.

Another symbol of Satan's fire is false worship and false religious revival.

Deuteronomy 18:9-12 KJV

v.9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

v.10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

v.11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

v.12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

God's ancient people Israel were warned not to participate in false religious worship like those nations that God was destroying.

In the Bible verses above, God destroyed those nations that practiced this false system of worship.

That false system of worship made use of "fire".

"There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire..."

Today, Satan employs different methods of "fire" to represent false worship and false religious revivals. Satan mingles truth with error to confuse and mislead minds.

Satan uses celebration style worship services blended with Christian upbeat music and just about anything to arouse the senses. Faith in God becomes nothing more than what a person feels rather than what a person does. Bible reading is not relished and appreciated. Professed Christians become entranced by Satan's fire.

Through charisma and emotionalism, Satan confuses the senses of rational human beings. Faith in God is reduced to a sentimental feeling without the righteousness of Christ produced by renouncing sin through faith in Christ.

Satan controls the minds of professed Christians through their senses and the plain teachings of the Word of God are discarded.

This is why prominent Christian leaders and denominations accept the sinful lifestyle of homosexuality despite that the Word of God teaches that it is immoral.

This type of control over professed Christians is spiritualism. It is Satan's fire.

Satan's fire will eventually lead to communication with "familiar spirits" passing as dead family members or friends that are now supposedly alive in the spirit world.

King Saul before his death thought he was talking to the dead prophet Samuel, but he was talking to a demon that goaded him on to his death (1 Samuel 28:6-20; 1 Chronicles 10:13,14).

This was Satan's strategy against King Saul. Satan will employ it again in these last days against professed Christians who have not fortified their minds with the Word of God to understand that the "dead know not any thing" (Ecclesiastes 9:5).

Satan will place sickness on a person and remove it claiming the person healed. Satan uses his agents in the form of apostate ministers and preachers who turn from Bible truth. These men use sorcery in cooperation with Satan to deceive and mislead souls like Simon the sorcerer of old (Acts 8:9-11).

Hence, supernatural manifestations, false systems of worship, communication with the dead and demonic healings are all forms of Satan's fire that he executes in these last moments of this earth's history.

What is the purpose behind Satan's "fire"?

Simply stated, Satan's purpose is to deceive.

Revelation 13:14 KJV

v.14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do...

There is only one tool that God provides to uncover the deceptive plots and purposes of Satan. It is the Bible and the spirit of prophecy which is the testimony of Jesus Christ, through enlightenment of the Holy Spirit (John 8:32; John 17:17; Revelation 19:10; John 14:26).

Satan knows if he can deceive people into believing they are Christians when they live more like the world and take little or no time to read the Bible then they are truly deceived!

How can anyone call themselves a Christian when they fail to diligently study God's Word?

A Christian is a follower of the teachings of Christ. How can a person follow the teachings of Christ, if that person fails to read the Bible?

One primary purpose of Satan's fire is to deceive professed Christians into thinking they can be Christians and not study the Bible.

Why does God allow Satan's "fire" to deceive people?

God allows Satan's fire to deceive people because they are willingly ignorant and make no attempt to understand Bible truth. They are not humble, honest seekers of truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 KJV

v.9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

v.10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

v.11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

v.12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Satan's fire is exercised "with all power and signs and lying wonders" on people because "they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."

For this reason, "God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie."

Why? Why will people refuse to receive Bible truth?

They "believed not the truth [because they have] pleasure in unrighteousness."

We either obey God according to His Ten Commandments or we choose our own way expecting God to accept our own will and course.

God allows people to be deceived because they are not honest with themselves or with God. They choose their own unrighteous way.

What does Satan's "fire" lead people to do?

Satan's fire leads this professed Christian nation, the United States of America, to enact laws contrary to the law of God. Laws such as "gay marriage" and ultimately rejecting our Creator in Sunday observance are immoral.

Revelation 13:13-14 KJV

v.13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

v.14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

God will allow Satan to bring "fire... from heaven on the earth in the sight of men" as a result of rejecting the Ten Commandments, in particular the Fourth Commandment to honor the seventh-day Sabbath. Natural calamities will precede these "great wonders."

These natural calamities are a result of men turning their back on the law of God. Death and destruction will follow.

This will create a push back to God and the enforcement of the mark of the beast, Sunday observance.

Marriage and the Sabbath were twin institutions given to the human family at creation. The first unites a man with a woman (Genesis 1:27-28; Genesis 2:24). The second unites the human family with their Creator God (Genesis 2:1-3).

As of this writing, thirty-seven states have legalized same-sex unions in America. It is predicted that the other thirteen states will follow shortly. This nation is turning its back on God. When same-sex unions become the law of the remaining 13 states, God will begin to withdraw His protection from this country in a marked way. Same-sex unions are a violation of God's law and a desecration of marriage and family.

Desecrating the first institution of heterosexual marriage by passing same-sex union laws will lead to desecrating the second institution, worship of the Creator on the Sabbath that unites the human family with God.

The desecration of the first institution by legalizing same-sex unions will bring greater natural calamities by Satan. The desecration of the second institution by legalizing Sunday observance will bring the close of human probation and the seven last plagues of God.

God will allow Satan to bring natural calamities upon this land with much more frequency and much greater severity because we have rejected His holy law.

These calamities will lead people to seek God. Through Satan's fire, the deceived people of the United States will seek to enact another law enforcing Sunday observance which is the mark of the beast, the mark of the Roman Catholic Church.
