Pope Francis Lays Groundwork for Forced Sunday Observance by Law - Posted: August 13, 2015

According to the Bible, the only day of rest from work that is set aside for worship of the Creator is the seventh-day Sabbath.

Exodus 20:8,10 KJV

v.8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

v.10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God.

Bible prophecy states that the people of America will one day accept and promote the policies of the Roman Catholic Church. One policy of the Catholic Church is Sunday observance. Protestant America will join hands with popery to advance Sunday as a family day and a holy day for worship.

But the Bible states anyone following this false day of worship will "worship the beast and his image and receive his mark" [Revelation 14:9]. This beast is the Catholic Church. His image is forced religion by Protestant America. His mark is Sunday observance enforced by law.

Those who obey a law establishing Sunday observance will receive the "wine of the wrath of God", which is the seven last plagues of God.

Revelation 14:9-10 KJV

v.9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

v.10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

As reported by Ecumenical News, August 13, 2015, Pope Francis says Sunday is a day to "find God" [worship]. The pope says it is a day for family, celebration, and rest from work. Pope Francis states that people should celebrate the Eucharist or Mass on Sunday.

"Moments of rest, especially on Sunday, are sacred because in them we find God," said the Pope, noting that the Sunday Eucharist brings to celebrations Jesus' grace.

"The obsession with economic profit and technical efficiency puts the human rhythms of life at risk. Moments of rest, especially on Sunday, are sacred because in them we find God."

"The Sunday Eucharist brings to our celebrations every grace of Jesus Christ: his presence, his love and his sacrifice; his forming us into a community, and his way of being with us."

Francis said that true moments of celebration make humanity pause from work as a reminder that people "are made in the image and likeness of God, who is not a slave to work, but the Lord of work."1

What does the Bible say about work and rest?

Exodus 20:8-11 KJV

v.8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

v.9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

v.10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

v.11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Revelation 4:7 KJV

v.7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

The Bible clearly states we are to work six days, but do no work on the seventh day. The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord God. The Lord and Creator of the universe rested on the seventh day. Therefore, we are to rest on the seventh day Sabbath and keep it holy. Keep it holy by worshipping God.

Do you know what day is the seventh day? Look at any common calendar. The seventh day is Saturday or Sabbath, specifically sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. Each day starts at sunset because God measures a day in creation's story using the words "And the evening and the morning were the first day" etc... Genesis 1:5. Sunday is the first day of the week.

Popery sets the traditions of the Catholic Church above the Ten Commandments of God. Pope Francis combines his encyclical on climate change with earth preservation and rest to certify Sunday as a day of rest and worship. However, Pope Francis defies the Bible. Pope Francis sets the tradition of Sunday observance above the Fourth Commandment of God, to keep holy the seventh-day Sabbath. Christians must choose to obey God rather than a man.

The question of worship is the last controversy that is to decide the destiny of mankind. It is a question regarding authority. Do we obey God or man? Do we embrace the Bible or tradition? We either worship God on the seventh day Sabbath or obey a man-made tradition through Sunday observance. Sunday observance is a tradition that has no Biblical authority. Purpose in your heart to obey God. Keep the Sabbath holy!

Joshua 24:15 KJV

v.15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve... but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
